Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Lift)

The eyes are the number one feature that people notice when they first meet. They are also one of the first to show signs of aging. Eyelid bags, sagging skin or wrinkles can give the appearance of being tired, stressed or aged. By removing the unwanted fat or skin and tightening the wrinkles, you can easily strip away 10 years or more from your age. Our doctors are experts at eyelid rejuvenation.

Over view of Eyelid Surgery:

• local anesthesia
• doctor makes small incisions along the upper natural creases & folds of your eyelids or inside the eyelid
• excess skin, fat and muscle are removed
• incisions are then closed with dissolving sutures
• area around the eye is protected with ointment or bandages

After healing, any scarring is hidden in the natural folds of the eyelids or inside the eyelid. It is a safe surgery performed on an outpatient basis, generally in less than one hour.

Recovery:

• vision may be blurry right after treatment
• some bruising and swelling as you heal. This can last for a few days to weeks
• any bruising can be covered up with makeup in about a week

Recovery time varies between patients, but usually is 7-10 days. Following this short recovery time, results are immediate and last years.

Both upper and lower eyelids can be done at the same time, and/or the procedures can be combined with other procedures such as laser resurfacing to maximize results.

Facelift

In time, gravity, sun exposure, and the stresses of daily life take their toll on our faces.

Signs of Aging:

• the cheeks relax
• deep creases appear beside the mouth
• jawline slackens
• folds and fat deposits appear on the neck

Facelifts correct these problems by repositioning fat, tightening skin and muscles. This procedure gives your face a fresher, youthful look. After surgery, some patients appear 10-15 years younger.

Our doctors are experts on various face lift techniques and performs almost all procedures under local anesthesia. A facelift traditionally treats both face and neck sagging: however many younger patients or those with only early signs of facial aging may also be candidates for a mini-lift or S-lift.

Mini-lift is performed using less surgery which translates into less healing time. In both cases, our doctors hides the incision lines in natural creases so that they are virtually invisible to the naked eye.

Recommendation: a facelift can be combined with a browlift, eyelid surgery, chin implant or laser treatments for more dramatic results.

Neck Lift

A neck lift and/or neck liposuction can be performed to:

• remove excess fat beneath the chin
• tighten loose skin in the neck

A less invasive alternative to a facelift, the procedure can produce dramatic results in the patient whose chin and/or neck has sagged with age or after weight loss but who retain natural youthful appearing facial skin.

Liposuction & SmartLipo™

Tumescent Liposuction

The Tumescent liposuction procedure is a state-of-the-art surgery for the removal of localized fat cells. Liposuction surgery is performed to remove unwanted localized deposits of fat cells from the body. The procedure is meant for body contouring, not treatment of obesity.

• healthy individuals with firm and elastic skin
• patients unable to lose the fatty bulges despite exercises and weight management strategies

Hair Restoration

A state-of-the-art hair transplantation method, hair restoration surgery corrects hair loss and creates a natural-looking hairline. The ideal candidate for hair restoration surgery:

• healthy dense hair on the sides and the back of the head

These are the sites that are used as donor areas – the areas from which flaps and grafts are taken.

Patients with well-defined baldness, thinning hair and those with limited hair loss due to scalp injury or burns are generally good candidates for hair replacement surgery. However, hair replacement surgery may not be appropriate for those with little remaining hair.

Overview:

The amount of coverage varies depending on the extent of baldness and the specific procedure performed.

• within about one month, much of the transplanted hair is shed
• about two months later, hair starts to grow and continues to grow at a normal rate
• about six months after a hair transplant session, the transplanted hairs begin to take on a natural appearance.

The donor site from which the hair was taken shrinks to a very small, barely noticeable scar that is well hidden by the surrounding hair.
