A 61-year-old man presented with a rapidly growing and bleeding squamous cell carcinoma skin cancer on his left upper lip. Mohs micrographic surgery was used to successfully remove all of the cancer in 2 stages. Because of the wound’s location, facial plastic reconstructive surgery was used to slide skin from the cheek in to cover the wound and hide the scars along the nose and lip line. Just one week after surgery, he is healing well, and his lips are in line without distortion.
