A 92-year-old active female presented with a progressively crusting and peeling nose. A skin biopsy at one edge showed a shallow form of skin cancer called superficial basal cell carcinoma. Because of the large surface area of the nose involved and the shallowness of the cancer, she chose treatment with topical cream chemotherapy, which she used for 6 weeks. After healing, her nose is smooth and the basal cell skin cancer successfully removed.
